Image 1 - lampshade
I got inspired by kardemommes (http://husetvedbekken.bloggagratis.se/ ) lampshade. I asked her if it was ok if I painted the flower on one of my lampshades. She said yes :) So here is the result. The lamp I bought earlier in the week and the shade was awful. I thought I would have to by a new one. But now it looks nice, at least when the light is not on ;)
How to paint a lampshade?
Think about what material the shade are made of before you start. Some materials tend to "bleed" the colours (synthetics). Buy a cheap lampshade from a 2hand and test on it before you go crazy on a expensive one. Scan in your sketch and colour it in photoshop so you know what colours you want to use. Depending on what lampshade you use and colours it might look a bit funny when you put the light on.
*1 lampshade, paper and cotton are the best choice
*You can use akrylpaint, textile colours and textilpen.
*A lot of free time and patience
Have fun :D
